Of all the coffee that I have sampled in the past couple of decades, none has had the impact in my life as much as the cups I have shared while visiting the island of Haiti. It’s hard to believe that the poorest country in the western hemisphere is just a short flight from Miami. Ecological failure of cataclysmic proportions, corrupt government, and abject poverty define this small forgotten little sister of America.

When I think of the country Haiti, all seems hopeless, but when I think of Ebel, a teacher that my family supports, the future seems clear.

Through the organization of GLOW Ministries International, teachers like Ebel, and countless children have a future of promise. Through Christian education, support of indigenous pastors and churches, child sponsorship, feeding programs, and community development, the Gospel of Jesus in word and deed is being proclaimed.
